Beim 22. Festivals des Deutschen Kamerapreises wurde Judith Kaufmann der Ehrenpreis verliehen.
Ron liebte die Kamera-Arbeit von Judith Kaufmann sehr. In KINO – German Film No. 97 und No. 98 steht im Zusammenhang mit Die Fremde by Feo Aldag folgendes: “the film which is perfectly framed by a master cinematographer Judith Kaufmann.”
