A Treasure of a Film: “Zur Sache Schätzchen”
By Dorothea Holloway | October 15, 2013

Once again we had the pleasure to watch at filmkunst 66, invited by Tanja & Regina Ziegler, a very special film:
Zur Sache Schätzchen by May Spils. Double the pleasure: Regina had invited a wonderful guest: Uschi Glas. This fascinating actress has charisma and true fans. My neighbour told me, that he has seen “Zur Sache Schätzchen” (To the point, Darling) (1968) already five times. The director of photography, Klaus König, made this black and white comedy bright and fresh “wie am ersten Tag”! He and producer Peter Schamoni had great actors: Henry van Lyck, Helmut Brasch and above all Werner Enke – also srcipt. Many prices: Three Bundesfilmpreise, BAMBI, Goldene Leinwand …
Ronald Holloway in KINO German Film No: 12 (Autumn 1983):
Best of the comedies produced by the young directors at the end of the 1960s, and box-office hits were May Spils’s Zur Sache, Schätzchen and Maran Gosov’s Engelchen oder die Jungfrau von Bamberg.
Vom 10. bis zum 16. Oktober ist Zur Sache Schätzchen im filmkunst 66 zu sehen.
