Höhenfeuer von Fredi M. Murer
By Dorothea Holloway | January 21, 2015
Eine Umfrage des Film-Magazins Frame in der Schweizer Filmakademie ergab, dass der beste Schweizer Film aller Zeiten Höhenfeuer von Fredi M. Murer sei.
1987 schrieb Vincent Canby in The New York Times:
Mr. Murer is evidently a man who knows how to direct actors as well as he knows how to take advantage of the elements. […] Rolf Illig and Dorothea Moritz give beautifully timed and controlled performances as the parents, and Johanna Lier remains sweetly mysterious as the doomed Belli. Thomas Nock is also persuasive as the boy.
New York Post in 1987: “Alpine Fire has won numerous awards at film festivals the world over.” Village Voice in 1987: “A Film by Fredi M. Murer Alpine Fire a story of love without bounds.” Ron Holloway in KINO – German Film No: 20 (Autumn 1985): “Höhenfeuer – Grand Prix at Locarno, Murer did follow the course of the seasons in shooting Höhenfeuer, a stylistic element enhanced by Pio Corradi’s camera work.”
